Covidien brings on a new senior VP of corporate communications
Jacqueline Strayer joined Covidien (NYSE:COV) as senior vice president of corporate communications. Strayer, who replaces Eric Kraus, comes from Johnson Controls and Arrow Electronics; she was also senior VP of corporate communications with both companies. Strayer will report directly to CEO José Almeida in Mansfield, Mass.
Ex-Hologic executive signs on as new Clinical Innovations CEO
Clinical Innovations, part of the Pritzker Group, appointed long-time Hologic (NSDQ:HOLX) veteran Shacey Petrovic as its new president & CEO. Petrovic was VP and general manager of Hologic’s gynecological surgical division.
SharedClarity hires 3 new execs
SharedClarity, a health benefits company studying the long-term effectiveness of medical devices, hired a trio of new executives. Alex Brown is the firm’s new VP of operations; Michael Georgulis Jr. is VP of strategic sourcing; and Jan Tankersley is VP of sales & marketing.
"We’re building a new company with an excellent, first-rate team of industry professionals," said president Mark West in prepared remarks. "Each of our new vice presidents brings a great deal of experience to serve our members."
New senior VP of operations at Hospira
New senior VP of operations Matthew R. Stober joined the senior leadership team at Hospira (NYSE:HSP) following the departure of John Elliot, who held the position for a year.
Stober comes from in-house, previously working as the corporate VP of U.S. pharmaceutical operations. Formerly, Stober worked at Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) as VP of the global platform for solids, parenterals and vaccines.
Senior executive shuffle at Nanosphere
Several senior officers at Nanosphere have changed roles or left the company. Kenneth Bahk was appointed chief strategy officer; Timothy Patno resigned as chief technology officer; and Chad Mirkin retired from his position on the board. Upon Mirkin’s retirement, stockholders voted to reduce the size of the board to 5 members.
