Neusoft Medical Systems landed FDA clearance for its multi-slice CT scanner, a cost-friendly and low-dose scanning system.
The company’s 64-slice scanner expands its product portfolio also includes the NeuViz Single, NeuViz Dual and NeuViz 16 systems, which are available in over 60 countries.
Houston, Texas-based Neusoft Medical previously introduced the new 64-slice CT scanner at the 2011 radiological society of North America conference and the 67th China International medical equipment fair in spring 2012, according to a press release.
"The FDA approval of the NeuViz 64 CT further validates Neusoft Medical’s capacity to introduce high quality technology that meets the requirements of clinical practice around the world," president Christopher McHan said in prepared remarks. "Of equal importance during healthcare reform, Neusoft research, development and manufacturing capabilities enable unprecedented economic feasibility for healthcare providers to purchase and utilize the latest diagnostic imaging tools."
Neusoft Medical plans to expand its global market as well as grow its installed base in North America, having achieved international ISO9001 Quality System Certification for all its products as well FDA and CE Mark approval for its CT, MRI, X-ray, diagnostic ultrasound and PET devices.
