Natus Medical (NSDQ:BABY) landed regulatory wins from the FDA and Health Canada for its UltraPro S100 EMG, a new electro-diagnostic system designed to monitor a patient’s nervous and muscular systems.
The Middletown, Wis.-based medical device has started marketing the system to hospitals and care centers in both countries, touting UltraPro’s 60-year heritage of Nicolet, Dantec, XLTEK and Teca brands.
The patient monitoring system can be packed up and moved from bedside to bedside in a rolling case. Natus consulted with neurologists and electro-diagnostic technicians on the device’s work-flow integration, which includes online summaries, electronic medical record connectivity, and built-in reference values.
"We are excited to bring the new UltraPro S100 EMG System to the U.S. & Canadian markets," Austin Noll, VP and general manager, said in prepared remarks. "The UltraPro S100 helps strengthen our market-leading EMG portfolio and ensures clinicians and patients can benefit from the latest advancements in neurological care."
