Spinal Simplicity wins Health Canada nod for Minuteman implants
Spinal Simplicity said Health Canada granted it a Class 3 license for its Minuteman G3 and HA G3 spinal implants.
The Overland Park, Kansas-based company said its Minuteman device is a posterior, non-pedicle supplemental fixation device for use at the single level in the non-cervical spine. It was designed for plate fixation and attachment to spinous processes to achieve fusion for degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, and trauma. It is not a stand-alone device and should be used with bone graft material.
Spinal Simplicity received regulatory approval from the FDA for its Minuteman F3 in January last year and for its HA G3 implant in August last year. This is the company’s 1st entry into the Canadian market.
