MITA appoints David Cooling as director of state, federal government relations
David Cooling joined as director of state and federal government relations, announced the Medical Imaging Technology Alliance. Cooling most recently worked at Pfizer, where he also focused on government relations and public affairs.
"With the addition of David’s extensive knowledge about healthcare and regulatory issues, I am confident that MITA’s staff will continue to advance the policy priorities of our members and ensure that they are well-represented in Washington, D.C.," MITA executive director Gail Rodriguez said in prepared remarks.

BioLargo adds Tanya Rhodes as senior strategy advisor
La Mirada, Calif.-based BioLargo announced the addition of Tanya Rhodes to its team as a senior strategy advisor. Rhodes most recently served as VP of innovation and VP of wound management at Smith & Nephew (FTSE:SN, NYSE:SNN). Rhodes’ primary role will be to aid with the commercialization of its technology in the wound management and medical device markets.

Encision bids adieu to Marcia McHaffie, welcomes Mala Ray
Encision (PINK:ECIA) announced the retirement of the company’s controller and principal accounting officer Marcia McHaffie. Mala Ray, formerly of dialysis-machine maker and supplier Gambro Renal, will replace McHaffie in the position.
