Microbot Medical announces full US launch of endovascular robot

Microbot Medical (Nasdaq:MBOT) today announced the full market release of its Liberty endovascular surgical robot in the U.S.

Hingham, Massachusetts–based Microbot designed Liberty to democratize endovascular interventional procedures. The company says it’s the world’s first single-use, fully disposable robotic system for those procedures. Liberty became the first FDA-cleared single-use, remotely operated robotic system for peripheral endovascular procedures in September 2025.

In November, Microbot announced the limited rollout of Liberty, with plans to use that launch to inform the full market release. With the limited launch complete, the company can now proceed with the full release as planned, beginning at the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Annual Scientific Meeting in Toronto this week.

The robot’s commercial uses thus far include a variety of procedures, including prostate artery embolization (PAE), uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), genicular artery embolization (GAE), Y90 mapping and deliveries and peripheral arterial interventions.

Microbot says early adopters highlighted the system’s precision, short learning curve and fast setup. It also allows them to use preferred wires and catheters, while also improving efficiency by reducing procedure time and the number of required instruments.

In preparation for the full commercial launch, Microbot says it built out its core commercial capabilities. The company added salespeople in key locations and broadened its sales footprint, doubling its territories from four to eight. It hopes to have 12 territories across the U.S. by the end of 2026.

In a news release, Microbot Medical Chair, President and CEO, Harel Gadot, said:

“We successfully achieved our goals for the limited market release of the Liberty system, including its adoption by leading hospitals across multiple peripheral procedures, giving us the momentum to commence, as planned, the full market release at the SIR conference. It’s exciting to see the level of enthusiasm among our existing customers, first when they initially use Liberty, utilizing it across multiple procedures, and then as they expand it to other hospital sites within their network. The variety of case types shows the system’s flexibility, and its ease of use is generating high customer satisfaction. I also believe the level of customer adoption during the limited market release in such a short time further demonstrates a shorter sales cycle compared to traditional surgical robots, which is another key differentiator and one we believe will lead to accelerated adoption.”
