Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) legal chief Cameron Findlay is heading for greener pastures, so to speak, taking a job as senior VP and general counsel for crop management company Archer Daniels Midland. His appointment at Archer Daniels will be effective July 15, 2013.
Findlay will take on ADM’s legal, compliance and government functions following the departure of former senior VP Marschall Smith, who left to enter private practice. Findlay had worked as Medtronic’s senior VP, general counsel and secretary since 2009.
“Cam is a proven leader with exceptional experience managing global legal, regulatory, compliance, and public policy issues,” said AMD CEO Patricia Woertz in prepared remarks. “He brings to ADM an impressive range of experience in business, government and the law, and I am pleased that he is joining our leadership team.”
Findlay was slated to receive a 5% base salary increase for fiscal year 2013 at Medtronic, according to a recent company regulatory filing. He received a $608,000 base salary for fiscal 2012.
