MASSDEVICE ON CALL — Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) insulin pumps will all come with the next-generation Contour Next Link wireless blood glucose meter from Bayer (PINK:BAYRY).
That includes Medtronic’s MiniMed and Guardian REAL-time devices, and the medical device giant plans to shift all of its customers to the new Contour devices, Medgadget reported.
Starting this week, new Medtronic customers will get the Contour Next Link with any new pump order and existing customers will get the new meters over time beginning January 2013.
