Trend-based rankings remained solid for the last month with Medtronic (NYSE:MDT) firmly maintaining its lead with a slate of news regarding its latest quarterly earnings, legal moves and new research findings.
Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) followed with updates on the DePuy Orthopaedics metal-on-metal hip lawsuits, and Covidien (NYSE:COV) ranked 3rd with a string of recalls. The list was again rounded off by St. Jude Medical (NYSE:STJ) and Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX), each of which announced large-scale restructuring and layoffs.
