Cogmedix added a general manager to its roster of leadership staff.

The Worcester, Mass.-based contract manufacturer hired Matthew Giza from Middlefield, Conn.-based Zygo Corp., where he oversaw business development and strategic relationships. Prior to that he was SI Groups’ director of sales and services for its optical scanning group.

At Cogmedix, he’ll attempt to implement growth plans for both the company and its clients, according to a press release (PDF). Cogmedix is a subsidiary of Coghlin Companies Inc. and focuses on the production of Class I and Class II medical and clinical devices for the healthcare industry. Its manufacturing capabilities cover diagnostic, remote-monitoring, laser-based and rehabilitation technologies.
