3. Battelle unveils new WayFinder hospital dashboard
Battelle said today it launched its WayFinder QI Dashboard advanced analytics tool designed to track and analyze internal data and metrics.
The Wayfinder uses statistical models to analyze pools of patient data data from hospitals and health systems to find information that can be acted on, Battelle said. The dashboard focuses on data required by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Read more
2. More layoffs ahead as Analogic shifts some production to China
Analogic said it plans to lay off about 90 workers at a plant in its Peabody, Mass., base as it shifts production to Shanghai.
The move is aimed at aligning “research and development investment with expected customer funding” in Analogic’s security & detection business and a voluntary retirement program, the company said. Read more
1. Medtronic launches Arc stroke catheter in the U.S.
Medtronic said that it expanded its thrombectomy offering in the U.S. with the Arc catheter, designed for use with its Solitaire stent retriever in treating acute ischemic stroke.
Fridley, Minn.-based Medtronic said the Arc catheter won 510(k) clearance from the FDA in July. Read more
