3. Invacare restructures, eliminates 34 jobs
Invacare said last week it is restructuring its North American home medical equipment and European segments, eliminating 34 positions.
The Elyria, Ohio-based company said it anticipated pre-tax restructuring charges and severance costs of approximately $1 million, which would be expensed for its 4th quarter. Read more
2. ReVision Optics files for PMA for presbyopia inlay
ReVision Optics said today the FDA accepted its premarket approval application for the Raindrop near vision inlay.
The Raindrop is a microscopic hydrogel inlay for treating presbyopia, which the Lake Forest, Calif.-based company said could reduce or eliminate the need for reading glasses. Read more
1. Spectral Medical inks distribution deal with Fresenius
Septic shock treatment developer Spectral Medical said today it inked a deal with Fresenius Medical Care to distribute its Endotoxin activity assay devices.
Fresenius will be the non-exclusive distributor of the device in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic, the company said. Read more
