
Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) subsidiary Ethicon Endo-Surgery is joining forces with Utah medical device maker Megadyne Medical Products in order to market a combined portfolio of energy-based surgical devices, the companies announced today.
Megadyne and Ethicon plan to offer contracting solutions for Megadyne’s monopolar and bipolar devices and Ethicon’s advanced bipolar and ultrasonic energy, according to a press release.
"Megadyne is proud to collaborate with Ethicon, as we share a common vision and commitment to providing high-quality, world-class health care products to our customers," Megadyne CEO Robert Farnsworth said in prepared remarks. "This agreement will enable us to jointly leverage each of our strengths and expertise to provide a comprehensive portfolio of solutions across the spectrum of energy platforms."
