Avita adds J&J vets Barring as COO, Saunders as sales veep
Avita Medical (ASX:AVH) said Monday it picked up ex-Johnson & Johnson execs Troy Barring and Ross Saunders to fill out its executive roster, with Barring taking up as COO and Saunders as veep of sales and marketing.
Barring has held positions with J&J, Baxter (NYSE:BAX) and North American Scientific Medical, and will replace Tim Rooney, who previously held both the COO and CFO roles. Rooney will continue as CFO for the company.
Saunders spent 19 years with J&J in international sales, marketing and general management of its wound treatment medical device business.
“We are very excited to have these two gentlemen aboard for the journey. Troy and Ross bring strong experience in the medical device and wound care areas, most notably the disciplines and systems that have proven to succeed with similarly transformative breakthrough products as ours,” CEO Adam Kelliher said in a press release.
