J-PAC Announces Name Change to J-Pac Medical and Expands Resources to Support Medical Product Innovation

February 12, 2014 By MassDevice Contributors Network

Somersworth, NH (February 11, 2014) J-Pac Medical (formerly J-PAC), a trusted provider of innovative, high quality, market-ready solutions, customized to meet the needs of medical device, diagnostic and life sciences customers, today announced the launch of its new website, www.j-pacmedical.com, and the creation of the new J-Pac Medical Innovation Services Group. The company is allocating additional resources to support increased demand for its product development services, from design and prototype development through supply chain services – and all phases in between.

The Innovation Services Group is an extension of customer R&D and product development teams and is focused on accelerating speed-to-market, reducing manufacturing costs for new and existing products and incorporating features that provide a competitive advantage. With the primary objective of improving patient outcomes, this collaboration of experts is designed to accelerate the commercialization of potentially life-saving technologies.

“For 30+ years, J-PAC has been a trusted outsourcing partner and provider of medical device, diagnostic and life science packaging solutions,” said J-Pac Medical president and CEO Mark Florence. “J-Pac Medical remains committed to these same core competencies; however, the volume of new projects we have undertaken requires additional investments on the product development side of the business so that we can accelerate our growth while providing our partners with full-service innovative solutions.”

Rick Crane, a well-known industry veteran who has helped numerous medical device, diagnostic and life sciences companies navigate all phases of development, will lead the Innovation Services Group in the role of vice president. Prior to joining J-Pac Medical, Crane held various leadership roles at Tolas Healthcare Packaging, International Paper Company, and most recently with the Ethicon Division of Johnson & Johnson.

“Rick’s proven ability to simplify complex engineering requirements makes him the right person to lead the group. We are confident in the team’s ability to help customers navigate the processes leading to design-freeze, process & quality control validation and scale up,” added Florence.

“J-Pac Medical’s growing engineering team provides customers with unmatched technical expertise for a broad range of healthcare products which they can leverage to gain or maintain a competitive edge,” said Crane. “I look forward to working with them to empower our customers so that they can best achieve their objectives.”

The name change to J-Pac Medical and the launch of its redesigned website support the company’s initiative to more clearly represent its comprehensive capabilities to the market. Visitors to the new site will find intuitive navigation and in-depth information about J-Pac Medical’s capabilities and commitment to quality.
