Intersect ENT (NSDQ:XENT) today said it appointed Richard Meier as executive VP and chief financial officer, effective immediately.
Prior to joining Intersect ENT, Meier was a chief financial officer and a senior executive at Owens & Minor. He has held a number of executive leadership roles at Teleflex, Advanced Medical Optics (now part of Abbott Labs) and ICN Pharmaceuticals (now Bausch Health).
“Randy brings an impressive range of finance and operations expertise as well as device and pharmaceutical experience to this important Intersect ENT role,” president and CEO Thomas West said in a news release. “Randy’s deep functional acumen and broad healthcare industry expertise will be a valuable addition to the executive team as the company aims to accelerate growth. I look forward to having him as a member of the Intersect ENT executive team and as a partner going forward.”
Meier replaced Jeri Hilleman who planned to step down to focus on board responsibilities outside of Intersect ENT. She will remain as an advisor into 2020 to help with Meier’s transition into his role.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank Jeri for her many meaningful contributions to Intersect ENT since joining the company in 2014. We wish her the very best in the next phase of her career,” West said.
