Hill-Rom Holdings (NYSE:HRC) won a $45 million contract with the U.S. Defense Dept. to provide hospital equipment and accessories to the military and federal agencies.
The Batesville, Ind.-based Hill-Rom unit that landed the five-year deal beat out 26 other bidders for the contract, the Pentagon said. There are no renewal options on the deal.
The Defense Dept. has issued six contracts to date with companies supplying its Defense Logistics Agency’s electronic catalogue.
Hill-Rom, which lowered its 2017 outlook after posting fiscal third-quarter results that missed the consensus sales forecast in July, dealt its Völker business in June to CoBe Capital for an unspecified amount. Völker makes hospital and long-term care beds for the European market.
