Hill-Rom Holdings (NYSE:HRC) said it looked to the energy industry to replace James Saccaro as CFO, naming BlueStar Energy’s former CFO Steven Strobel to the position.
Strobel also served as treasurer & controller at Motorola and Owens Corning. He’s also on the board at Newell Rubbermaid Inc., where he chairs the audit committee, according to a press release.
"I am delighted to welcome someone of Steve’s experience, talent and maturity to Hill-Rom as our CFO," Hill-Rom president & CEO John Greisch said in prepared remarks. "As we continue to execute our strategy to grow and strengthen Hill-Rom, I expect Steve to be a valuable partner and a great asset to our executive team."
Saccaro resigned back in July to return to the CFO role at his alma mater, Baxter (NYSE:BAX), where he worked from 2002 to 2011. Hill-Rom treasurer Michael Macek served as interim CEO.
Earlier this month Hill-Rom lured Carlyn Solomon from his role as vice president of critical care & vascular businesses at Edwards Lifesciences (NYSE:EW).
