SafeTrace TX is a specialized transfusion management system used in the blood bank for managing patient and blood product information and assisting in determining blood product suitability for patient transfusion.
The updated software is designed to ensure patient transfusion safety by guarding against mistakes and protecting from transfusion errors with new and improved data visualizations, including interactive dashboards and analytics.
Braintree, Mass.-based Haemonetics said the new-look, easy-to-use optimized user experience helps improve transfusion safety while maximizing workflow efficiency and continuity of care.
“SafeTrace Tx is used by hundreds of hospitals to support safe, efficient and effective blood bank operations,” Haemonetics global hospital president Stew Strong said in a news release. “With our first customer live on the next generation software, we are excited to build on this momentum as interoperability and analytics continue to gain importance in hospital information systems.”
