Group purchasing organization Premier Healthcare signed a new contract with Carestream to provide diagnostic dental imaging systems to its 86,000-plus membership.
Premier has been offering Carestream imaging systems to its members since 2010, but the new contract extends the deal for another 3 years.
Carestream develops diagnostic and dental imaging systems. The contract with Premier involves a clutch of diagnostic radiology imaging devices, including the DRX Revolution Mobile X-ray system that won FDA clearance earlier this year.
"Premier members can now realize the many benefits of our DRX family that thousands of healthcare providers around the world have embraced," Carestream general manager Doug Spotts said in prepared remarks. "Our flexible DRX systems streamline imaging workflows and offer exceptional productivity in a wide range of environments, from critical care and general radiology exams to outpatient imaging centers."
