
Group purchasing organization goliath Premier inked two new agreements for electrophysiology equipment and Cure Surgicals signed a supply deal for surgical aspirators and bone cutters.
Premier healthcare alliance signed agreements with C.R. Bard (NYSE:BCR) subsidiary Bard Electrophysiology Products and Natick, Mass.-based Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX).
Surgical device maker Misonix Inc. (NASDAQ: MSON) inked a four-year exclusive distribution agreement with New Delhi, India-based Cure Surgicals for its SonaStar surgical aspirator and its BoneScalpel ultrasonic bone cutter.

The agreement gives Cure Surgicals the right to sell the Misonix products throughout India.
"Their approach to educating the Indian clinical community as to the value of therapeutic ultrasound technology mirrors that of Misonix in other key markets. We are particularly pleased that they will be selling two of our key products through their well established distribution network in India," said Michael McManus, president & CEO of Misonix in prepared remarks.
Hospital GPOs have been vocal about signing contract recently, perhaps in response to Medtronic’s (NYSE:MDT) headline-making, Wall Street-pleasing decision to cut several contracts worth an estimated $2 billion a year for its cardiovascular and orthopedic products with Novation in February.
GPO giant Premier Healthcare Alliance signed contracts earlier this year with med-tech superpowers Covidien (NYSE:COV), Medline Industries and Siemens AG (NYSE:SI).
