
Technology giant Teleflex (NYSE:TFX) announced this week that it signed a new agreement to provide its surgical devices at special rates to members of Amerinet.
Amerinet is a group purchasing organization and healthcare solutions provider with more than 63,000 partner healthcare providers, according to numbers updated in 2012. The company’s membership includes more than 3,000 hospitals and more than 24,700 clinics.
The new agreement prescribes exclusive member rates for Teleflex’s handheld and laparoscopic surgical instruments, including the Pilling suite of stainless steel and titanium instruments and the KMedic brand of orthopedic instruments. The new deal took effect June1 and expires March 31, 2017.
"At Teleflex, we are committed to providing high-quality products that enhance patient outcomes and we are pleased to continue achieving that goal through our ongoing partnership with Amerinet," Teleflex president & general manager John Tushar said in prepared remarks. "We look forward to improved provider safety and overall benefits to the health care industry that will come as a result of this collaboration."
Teleflex has partnered with Amerinet in the past. The companies signed a deal in 2011 for Teleflex’s VasoNova catheters.
