GE HealthCare
(Nasdaq: GEHC)
has launched a new version of its MIM Encore imaging software, marking its first combined release since acquiring MIM Software in 2024.
The new version includes GE HealthCare’s proprietary algorithms and features designed to improve image quality, automate reporting, and streamline workflows across oncology, cardiology and neurology. The company said the updates aim to reduce manual workloads and improve diagnostic confidence.
“In today’s rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, operational efficiency and seamless collaboration are not just goals — they’re the cornerstone to success. That’s why we aim to provide tools that can help enhance providers’ confidence in decision making and support patients in receiving personalized care,” said Jean-Luc Procaccini, president and CEO of Molecular Imaging and Computer Tomography at GE HealthCare. “We are committed to delivering technology that unifies data across systems and organizations, breaking down workflow barriers to help drive better clinical outcomes and elevate the standard of patient care.”
The platform now includes enhanced post-processing tools for GE HealthCare scanners, as well as automated read preparation, structured reporting and advanced image reconstruction. Updates include:
- Oncology: Simplified SPECT image processing with resolution recovery, motion correction and quantification tools.
- Cardiology: Faster PET and SPECT imaging with improved quality checks and support for key radiotracers.
- Neurology: Enhanced rendering and correction tools for consistent, high-resolution brain imaging.
GE HealthCare also launched its Effortless Workflow feature within the MIM Encore platform, which includes customizable displays and automation intended to ease clinician workload and reduce burnout.
“Customers are telling us that this pairing is exactly what users have been looking for. The combined solution enables streamlined, accurate reading of images, supports quantitative analysis out of the box, and helps eliminate manual entries,” said MIM Software CEO Andrew Nelson. “As we continue to evolve our vertically integrated products based on user input, we remain focused on creating a user-friendly, vendor-neutral, future ready experience designed to scale with advanced molecular imaging needs.”
