As Abbott (NYSE:ABT) plans a change at the corner office for the first time in decades, the company is getting a new CFO, too.
Abbott’s board yesterday appointed Robert Funck Jr. as the company’s new EVP and CFO, effective March 1, according to an SEC filing. Funck will replace Brian Yoor, who will officially retire on Feb. 29.
The change will come about a month before Miles White steps down after 21 years as Abbott’s CEO, with Robert Ford succeeding him. White will remain executive chairman of the board.
Funck has been at Abbott since 1989, serving as a corporate officer since 2005. His most recent title has been SVP of finance and controller.
