Avanos Medical (NYSE:AVNS) announced today that it appointed Camille Chang Gilmore as SVP and chief human resources officer.
Gilmore joins the Alpharetta, Georgia–based company after spending two decades as Boston Scientific’s global chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer and vice president of human resources. She announced last month that she intended to depart Boston Scientific to join a then-undisclosed medtech company in the Atlanta area.
Today, Avanos confirmed her appointment to lead the company’s HR operations. Her responsibilities include heading up all aspects of the company’s people strategy, including talent acquisition and development, workforce planning, leadership development and employee experience.
Avanos said her appointment reflects its commitment to building a workplace in which employees feel “valued, respected and empowered to contribute their best.”
In addition to her time at Boston Scientific, Gilmore brings further HR and leadership experience. She previously spent time at Guidant, the State of Oregon, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and IBM.
“With over 25 years of experience building high-performing, people-centered organizations, Camille brings an exceptional depth of HR leadership to Avanos,” said Dave Pacitti, Avanos CEO. “Her passion for developing inclusive, values-driven cultures aligns perfectly with our vision of getting patients back to the things that matter and our commitment to fostering a workplace where every employee can thrive.”
Avanos Medical develops a range of technologies, including solutions for pain management, chronic care, digestive care and more. Offerings include feeding tubes, medication dosing solutions, infusion technology and radiofrequency ablation technology, among other things.
The company continues to round out its leadership team, having brought on Pacitti, a former Siemenes Healthineers executive, to lead the company in March.
