
Electromed (NSDQ:ELMD) founder, chairman & CEO Robert Hansen relinquished control of the company after 20 years steering the ship.
Hansen, who started the company with his brother Craig in 1992, led the company from the initial concept for the SmartVest airway clearance system to its 1st U.S. sale in 2001 and 1st international sale in 2006. Electromed was 1 of only 2 Minnesota companies to launch a successful initial public offering in 2010.
He resigned from Electromed to pursue another technology-based company which he also founded, according to a press release.
"I am confident that my successor, the management team, staff, and emerging technologies will serve the company’s patients and shareholders well," Hansen said in prepared remarks. "The company’s strong balance sheet should also serve as an excellent foundation for future growth."
The company appointed chief operating officer James Cassidy, who joined Electromed last year, to take over as interim CEO. Read more
Hill-Rom names Alton Shader president for North America
Hill-Rom Holdings (NYSE:HRC) named Alton Shader senior VP and president of the company’s North America division, which integrates the post-acute and acute care arms to form the company’s largest business unit, with more than $1 billion in annual revenues.
Shader’s new role represents his current in combination with responsibilities overseen by Martha Goldberg Aronson, who resigned to accept a position with another company, according to a press release. Read more
Kinetic Concepts appoints former Stryker rep James Cunniff as senior VP of the Americas
Kinetic Concepts named health care veteran and former Stryker employee James Cunniff senior VP of the Americas. Cunniff has more than 20 years of experience in health care, the last 14 of which were spent in various roles at Stryker (NYSE:SYK).
He was most recently president of Stryker’s emerging markets division, which spanned China, India, Korea, Latin America and the Middle east, among other areas. Read more
