eClinicalWorks is set to provide its electronic medical record services to more than 200,000 prison inmates housed in correctional facilities across the U.S.
The Westborough, Mass.-based electronic medical records provider said it signed an agreement with Correctional Medical Services Inc., a provider of health services for 200 prisons and jails in 17 states across the country. Specific terms of the deal were not announced.
Privately held eClinicalWorks employs more than 800 workers at three locations across the country, including its Westborough world headquarters. The company currently has 500 hospitals and 2,000 clinicians using its suite of electronic medical records and practice management software.
In April, the company partnered with computer hardware maker Dell and retail giant Sam’s Club to supply independent medical practitioners with an affordable version of its software solutions.
