Dana-Farber makes new appointments to several executive positions, including COO and CFO
Boston, Mass.-based Dana-Farber Cancer Institute appointed Dorothy Puhy as its new chief operating officer. She previously served as the organization’s CFO. Karen Bird will serve as the new CFO, a promotion from her previous role as senior VP of finance.
Other staff changes included the appointment of Lawrence Shulman as the new chief of staff from his previous role as chief medical officer. Craig Bunnell will take up the position of chief medical officer. In addition former chief quality officer Joseph Jacobson will now also oversee new patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Wright Medical appoints Julie Andrews new principal accounting officer
Wright Medical (NSDQ:WMGI) announced the appointment of Julie Andrews as its new principal accounting officer. Since May 2012, Andrews has also served as the company’s VP and CFO, prior to which she was the VP of finance at Medtronic (NYSE:MDT). She will be assuming the new position from Lance Berry, Wright Medical’s senior VP and CFO.
This news follows the company’s reception of a subpoena from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Tennessee requesting records relating to the company’s suite of metal hip implants.

Zyto announces David Lee’s addition to scientific advisory board
Utah-based Zyto announced that David Lee, a chiropractor in private practice in Atlanta, GA., has joined the company’s scientific advisory board.
"Dr. Lee’s passion for our technology and his broad range of credentials and certifications in this field of medicine will assist us in advancing our technology and research initiatives,"
said Kami Howard, ZYTO’s president in prepared remarks.
