LOS ANGELES, Oct. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Cytta Corp. (OTCQB: CYCA), leading the way to cost effective health care, is pleased to announce the appointment of Erik Stephansen to President of its eHealth division. Mr. Gary Campbell, Cytta Corp. Chairman announced the promotion as part of the company’s recent launch of their CyttaConnect™ remote patient monitoring platform that utilizes Cytta’s cellular data network and its partners’ FDA approved Bluetooth medical devices. He stated, “Erik has been very effective in bringing our system to market. His strong leadership, excellent Corporate Development skills, and passion for our revolutionary solution are important to Cytta’s upcoming phased roll out of the CyttaConnect™ medical system.”
The CyttaConnect™ system delivers verifiable, real-time medical data transmission from home based medical devices through our Medical Smartphone to the Company’s cloud based electronic medical record (EMR) database. The EMR is automatically populated with the patient’s data and provides an interactive and interpretive interface for review by the patient’s providers and caregivers. The data can be displayed in various numerical formats, it can be graphed to show trends of these measurements and it may be utilized to provide early warning signs of dangerous health trends.
Mr. Campbell continued, “Erik was previously Vice President of Strategy and Operations and will now oversee all aspects of the eHealth growth plan. He has over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles, developing branded companies and is very well suited to positioning the CyttaConnect™ platform as the trusted name for remote patient monitoring.”
The CyttaConnect™ system is a trusted ecosystem of industry partners and Cytta Corp’s specialized cellular data network. The company has been quietly signing up partners into the ecosystem and developing an integrated CyttaConnect™ system that creates a dedicated Medical Health Service Provider. The Cytta Medical Health Service Provider fully manages, employs and delivers all components into a successful, integrated solution. “We looked at other attempts by several great and well-funded companies,” stated Mr. Stephansen, “However, the problem is these single-vendor systems typically result in expensive programs that are better deployed for use in critical care conditions. Whereas, the CyttaConnect™ solution is flexible and cost effective for minor and chronic care environments. Plus, it’s fun to use.”
The CyttaConnect™ system and its partners’ devices provide seamless remote patient monitoring that is convenient and portable. Doctors, caregivers, patients and loved ones can access information at any time utilizing the CyttaConnect™ web Dashboard or have the data ported to another EMR.
“We offer an alternative to having to go to the doctor’s office; yet, your health picture develops easily. It’s simple to take readings and you can do so anytime, anywhere without wires or having to keep data logs!” expressed Mr. Stephansen while showing the available Bluetooth medical devices to a rapt audience of medical professionals.
The CyttaConnect™ system utilizes FDA approved Bluetooth connectivity for the A&D weight scale, A&D blood pressure, and Nonin pulse oximetry devices that are high quality, compact and convenient. It also offers the sophisticated and FDA approved Bluetooth “MyGlucoHealth” diabetes meter from Entra Health Systems. More FDA approved Bluetooth devices are being integrated and will be available soon.
Cytta Corp. is currently focusing upon introducing the system to select doctors and caregivers. Some care professionals plan to use the system to provide additional services that enhance their business and improve patient health awareness. Several are looking at customized, patient paid programs that highlight the new demand for self-coordinated care. “We hear of the son or daughter wanting to pay for the program and give it to their elder parent since they are miles away and can’t participate in close, ongoing care management. With CyttaConnect™ we share the big (health) picture, giving patients the freedom to roam or stay at home, while providing their caregivers timely, accurate data,” stated, Mr. Stephansen.
CyttaConnect™ data access charges are low (similar to the cost of a cell phone) and the FDA approved Bluetooth devices permit immediate deployment without the red tape, cumbersome wires, expenditure, or specialized training typically associated with other home monitoring programs.
The CyttaConnect™ system allows your health professional to become your health coach. More importantly, it empowers you to know your own health. “It’s all about you.”
