On October
3, 2011, Cathy E. Minehan, a member of the Board of Directors (the
“Board”) of Becton, Dickinson and Company (“BD”),
informed the BD Board that, due to other commitments, she will not
stand for re-election at BD’s 2012 Annual Meeting of
Shareholders.
