Smith+Nephew stock sinks as surgical business faces China headwinds

Smith+Nephew (NYSE:SNN) shares took a hit today on third-quarter results that highlighted ongoing struggles in China. Shares of SNN were down more than 12% to $25.35 apiece by the afternoon today. Bioretec to increase production capacity for bioresorbable implants

Bioretec announced today that it acquired a new CNC machining center to increase the production capacity of its RemeOs products. Tampere, Finland-based Bioretec said its acquisition is optimized for the production of magnesium-based implants. This especially includes the first product from the RemeOs family, the RemeOs screw. FDA approves bioresorbable metal implant from Bioretec

Bioretec announced today that it received FDA marketing authorization for its RemeOs trauma screw, a bioresorbable metal implant. Tampere, Finland-based Bioretec says the screw is the first and only bioresorbable metal implant approved by the FDA.
