American Superconductor Corp.‘s chief technology officer, Alexis Malozemoff, is stepping down from his full-time position for a part-time consulting gig that pays $50,000 for about eight hours of work each week.
Officials at the Devens-based company, which makes high-temperature superconductor wire and coils, said Malozemoff’s official retirement is slated for May 22.
Malozemoff, 64, joined American Superconductor in 1991 as vice president for research and development after a 19-year tenure at IBM.
