Cardinal Health 200 Inc. won a $1.02 billion contract from Uncle Sam.
The two-year deal announced yesterday calls for the company to provide medical surgical supplies to the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps.
The McGaw Park, Ill.-based company is a subsidiary of health care and laboratory products and services giant Cardinal Health Inc. (NYSE:CAH).
The Bedford, Mass.-based company is contracted to supply the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Federal Civilian Agencies with radiology systems, subsystems and components.

Molecular pathology company Advanced Cell Diagnostics (ACD) and Definiens, a biomedical image and data analysis company, formed a strategic partnership to develop image analysis applications designed to enable researchers to accurately quantify specific RNA molecules within individual cells in routine clinical specimen. The partnership will build on ACD’s RNAscope platform and add new specialized image analysis solutions that will automatically process and analyze images from RNAscope assays.
- Luna Innovations and Intuitive Surgical extend deal
Luna Innovations Inc. (NSDQ:LUNA) announced that it has agreed with Intuitive Surgical Inc. (NSDQ:ISRG), to extend its development efforts under its development and supply agreement with Intuitive towards further integrating Luna’s shape sensing technology into Intuitive’s products.
- AuxoCell Labs licenses stem cell service to PerkinElmer
AuxoCell Laboratories Inc., a stem cell therapeutic and regenerative medicine company, announced an agreement with PerkinElmer Inc. (NYSE:PKI) to license its stem cell tissue service to ViaCord, PerkinElmer’s family cord blood banking business. This means families can bank newborn stem cells from an additional source — umbilical cord tissue.
