
In her new role at Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal Health, Greene will report to CEO Mike Kaufmann and join the company’s executive committee.
“Michelle is a proven leader with a wealth of experience across multiple industries,” Kaufmann said in a news release. “Innovation is core to our business and we believe under Michelle’s leadership, we will continue to make advancements to best serve our customers and their patients.”
Greene has been with Cardinal Health since last year, when she was appointed as SVP of EIT for the company’s pharmaceutical segment.
In the role of SVP of EIT for pharmaceuticals, she developed IT strategy tailored to the segment’s business objectives, Cardinal Health said. Before joining the company, she had been CIO and VP of IT for Masco Corporation and before that spent nearly 10 years with Johnson Controls, where she held a number of executive positions including VP of IT.
Greene is also the recipient of several awards, including being named in the Top 25 Most Influential Black Women of Business, the company said.
