Cardiac Science Corp. (NSDQ:CSCX) began shipping Quinton Q-Stress cardiac stress systems today with microvolt T-wave alternans modules made by Cambridge Heart Inc. (OTC:CAMH).
The system’s MTWA technology was developed by Cambridge Heart Inc. (OTC:CAMH).
Tewksbury, Mass.-based Cambridge Heart announced the integration of its OEM MTWA module with Bothell, Wash.-based Cardiac Science last November. The technology is a noninvasive diagnostic cardiac test designed to detect the risk of sudden heart attack.
"MTWA for Q-Stress combines the industry’s leading cardiac stress testing system with Cambridge Heart’s unique testing system for [sudden cardiac arrest] risk, creating the most comprehensive cardiac risk profiling system in the industry," said Cardiac Science vice president of marketing Tony Titus in prepared remarks.
Cambridge Heart’s OEM modules integrate with both new and existing cardiac stress testing systems and cardiac monitoring devices, according to the company.
