- Caldera Medical taps former exec to lead global sales
Caldera Medical Inc. announced the hiring of industry veteran Perry Needham as its Senior Vice President, Global Sales. Needham is no stranger to Caldera Medical, having served as its founding Vice President of Sales from 2003 to 2005. During this time, Needham successfully launched the company’s first product line, attracted leading physicians, and built an independent sales force in excess of 100 representatives. Needham rejoins the company after a recent engagement with Novasys Medical, a venture-backed company commercializing a non-surgical procedure for the treatment of Stress Urinary Incontinence. At Novasys, Needham served as Vice President of Sales, building a broad sales infrastructure and distribution channel that was instrumental in the company’s national rollout. During Needham’s tenure, Novasys’s Renessa treatment was performed on over 2,500 women and the company successfully raised over $100MM in funding.

Baxano Inc. announced the addition of George Harter, Jr. to its executive team. As Chief Financial Officer, Harter will be responsible for Finance, Administration and Human Resources. Harter served as the Chief Financial Officer for Acclarent Inc. from 2005 to 2011, through its acquisition by Johnson & Johnson. From September 2003 to April 2005, Harter served as Chief Financial Officer for Velocimed, an interventional cardiology company. Prior to Velocimed, Harter held roles at other health care companies including Boston Scientific. Harter received his B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and his M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University.
