William McConnell Jr., senior vice president for sales, marketing and business strategies at Boston Scientific Corp.‘s cardiac rhythm management division, announced his retirement from the company, according to a regulatory filing.
McConnell, 59, told the companyof his plans to retire effective Dec. 31 on Nov. 3, according to the filing with the federal Securities and Exchange Commission. He joined the company in April 2006, after its acquisition of Guidant Corp., where he’d been VP and CIO.
Before joining Guidant in 1998, McConnell was a managing partner for Arthur Andersen LLP’s business consulting arm in Indianapolis.
