Boston Scientific Corp. plans to make the Emerald Isle a little greener, with a roughly $30 million investment in one of its research and development centers in Cork, Ireland, the Finfacts website reported.
It’s the second such investment for the Natick devices giant in as many months, following its planned $128 million spend on another R&D facility in Galway.
The Cork investment will create a new products development facility for BSC’s neurovascular business. In Galway, the company plans to build an early-stage product development facility.
Boston Scientific employs about 5,000 people in Ireland.
