Body Science LLC sued Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX) for patent infringement, alleging that the medical device company’s Latitude cardiac patient monitoring system violates a pair of its patents.
The pair of patents cover "Wireless Medical Diagnosis and Monitoring Equipment." The Latitude system monitors certain Boston Scientific defibrillator models, wirelessly beaming the data to physicians.
The suit, originally filed in the U.S. District Court for Northern Illinois and later transferred to the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts, also names LifeWatch, Philips (NYSE:PHG), Polar Electro and A&D Co. Ltd.

Body Science is seeking a jury trial, a judgment of infringement, damages, an injunction against further infringement, legal fees and "that defendants be ordered to deliver to Body Science for destruction all infringing products and systems in their possession."
