BioVentures Investors said today that it closed its 4th medtech fund with $87 million on hand.
The Wellesley, Mass.-based venture capital shop said it’s already made 4 investments from its Fund IV, including Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY) acquisition Locemia Solutions.
The other investments were in Deep Vein Medical, which is expected to put its prosthetic venous valve into clinical trials next year and CoNextions Medical and its tendon repair technology. CoNections reported raising nearly $200,000 of a hoped for $1.2 million from a single investor in August.
BioVentures Investors said it also participated in the $32 million Series C round for Endotronix and its wireless heart monitor.
