BioCorRx (OTC:BICX) yesterday announced the promotions of Lourdes Felix to president and Tom Welch to executive VP of the company, effective immediately.
Felix is set to retain her role as CFO and a member of the board of directors, while Welch departs his previous post as VP of operations at Anaheim, Calif.-based BioCorRx.
According to a news release, Felix began serving as BioCorRx’s CFO in October 2012, procuring capital, completing equity financing and structuring and negotiating transactions with investment banks and private investors. She also provides oversight for company-wide operations and led the launch of BioCorRx’s UnCraveRX weight loss mangement program.
Felix also helped to rebrand, restructure and expand the company’s business model. She earned over 25 years of experience in financial and operational management in the private sector before joining BioCorRx.
Welch joined BioCorRx as VP of operations in 2016, assisting in creating, training and integrating the BioCorRx Recovery Program for independent physicians, integrated medicine and substance use disorder centers.
Before Welch came on board, he was the founder and director of operations at TAK Healthcare Management from 2012 to 2015, leading a team to reorganize clinical operations for Start Fresh Alcohol and Opioid Recovery Centers Inc. Welch also created Benchmark Consulting Group in 2001 before his time at TAK.
“We are pleased to recognize Lourdes’ and Tom’s leadership and vital contributions to our organization as we position BioCorRx for future success,” BioCorRx CEO & director Brady Granier said in the news release. “We anticipate many catalysts coming up and these key leadership changes were made to accommodate the next phase of BioCorRx’s growth. … I am delighted to announce their promotions today, both of which are very well deserved, and look forward to their continued leadership and guidance.”
