Biocious Life Sciences opened a new office near Geneva, Switzerland, and appointed Gregory Werner for its newly created EU sales manager position.
The Woburn, Mass.-based mass spectrometer maker also announced European reseller agreements with two U.S.-based spectrometer manufacturers, ABSciex and Agilent Technologies (NYSE:A).
Biocius said it’s expanding in response to increased demand for its RapidFire drug testing products in Europe. It now has operations in Germany, the U.K., Sweden, Austria and Switzerland.
The company recently announced Wako Pure Chemicals as its Japanese distributor and is planning a June move to larger headquarters in Wakefield, Mass.
Biocious Life Sciences spun out from parent company BioTrove Inc.’s RapidFire drug screening business last December.
