
Belmont Instrument Corp. won a $31.6 million contract from the U.S. Defense Dept. to supply its blood warming device to the military and federal agencies.
The Billerica, Mass.-based medical device maker makes a suite of blood-related products, including a rapid infuser, a hypothermia pump and its Buddy line of blood warming devices.
The five-year Defense Dept. contract calls for Belmont Instrument to deliver a "blood fluid warming system with accessories and repair parts" to the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies.
