
Bausch & Lomb touts FDA clearance for bio-inspired Biotrue contacts
Eye care giant Bausch & Lomb won FDA clearance for its Biotrue ONEday disposable contact lenses, which contain 78% water, the same water content as the cornea.
The devices were designed to mimic the biology of the eye in order to provide optimal oxygenation and moisture during the course of a day. The contacts were introduced in May in Italy and will launch in U.K. and Nordic markets later this year.
