Covidien (NYSE:COV) corporate communications and public relations senior vice president Eric Kraus will leave his post by the end of this month to take on a role as the communications chief for Bacardi Limited, the worlds largest privately owned spirits company.
He’ll be responsible for Bacardi’s corporate communications, external affairs and corporate responsibility functions as the new Chief Communications & Corporate Affairs Officer, according to a press release.
Kraus has been with Covidien since 2006 and oversaw the company’s re-branding after the spin out of Tyco Healthcare, prior to which he held a role as VP of external relations for Gillette.
He’ll join Bacardi by January 28, pending approval from Bermuda’s immigration authorities, according to the announcement.
Among Bacardi Limited’s well-known brands are Bacardi rum, Grey Goose vodka, and Bombay Sapphire gin.
