Avita Medical (ASX:AVH) said today it inked a distribution deal with MSM Medical that will put the company in charge of selling its devices into the German, Austrian and Swiss markets.
German-based MSM Medical sells advanced woudn care products in key german speaking territories, and has 8 offices in the country. The agreement came into effect Feb. 10 and will cover Avita’s full range of products.
“When choosing a distributor, we must have comfort that they are able to effectively demonstrate to medical professionals how ReCell can be deployed to benefit patients. We quickly saw that MSM Medical have the appropriate expertise, and well-proven capabilities in supporting the sales of medical device products in the German-language wound care market,” Avita Medical CEO Adam Kelliher said in a press release.
Avita said it is rolling out CE mark approved products in the European Union through longstanding distributors in the sector. Avita said it will support MSM Medical through publicity, clinical platforms and a training program for physicians using the device.
Last week, Avita said it closed the $2.64 million deal for its respiratory business with Medical Developments International.
The division includes Avita’s Breath-A-Tech and Funhaler asthma spacers designed to optimize the use of medicinal puffers, marketed in Australian pharmacies. The buyout was announced in December 2015.
