The Australian stock exchange today granted a request from GI Dynamics (ASX:GID) to halt trading in shares of its stock, pending a company announcement between now and March 9.
Lexington, Mass.-based GI Dynamics asked for the suspension pending "the release of a material announcement" about the business.
GI Dynamics "will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the company, pending the release of an announcement by the company," ASX listing advisor Lisa Banh wrote today. "Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Monday, 9 March 2015 or when the announcement is released to the market."
Last week GI Dynamics released its preliminary results for last year, saying it expects to report revenue growth of 21.7% to $2.8 million.
Net losses were -$48.2 million for the year, up 35.4% from -$35.6 million during 2013.
GID shares closed at 30¢ Australian yesterday.
