The U.S. Defense Dept. yesterday awarded a contract worth up to $375 million to Arthrex for hospital equipment and accessories.
The five-year contract is a fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with the Pentagon’s Defense Logistics Agency.
The deal was a competitive acquisition, with 89 responses received and 21 contracts awarded. The U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and other federal organizations can access the Arthrex offerings via the Defense Logistics Agency’s electronic catalog, the Defense Dept. said.
Arthrex earlier this month lost a round in its long-running battle with Smith & Nephew over surgical suture anchor patents.
