Alpha Analytical Inc. closed its deal to acquire Boston Analytical Inc. for an undisclosed amount.
The deal brings the Salem, N.H.-based contract testing lab under the umbrella of New England’s largest environmental testing outfit and expands Alpha Analytical’s footprint in the life sciences industry.
Under the terms of the deal, Boston Analytical will operate under its own brand and existing management.
Westborough, Mass.-based Alpha Analytical, which also has a facility in Mansfield, Mass., partners with engineering consulting firms and state and municipal agencies in studies of solid waste, air, wastewater and water-supply systems, dredging projects and site characterization and remediation projects, according to its website. The company also specializes in hydrocarbon forensics, PCB congeners, sediments and animal and plant tissue analysis.
