Allurion Technologies this week said it appointed three new executives.
Whitney Cypes was appointed VP of global marketing. Cypes has more than 15 years of global marketing of medical devices experience.
Prior to joining Allurion, Cypes was the senior director of marketing at Insulet. She has also held a number of leadership roles at Hologic, Boston Scientific and Covidien.
Allurion Technologies also hired Chris Aronson as the VP of North American sales. Aronson has held a number of leadership positions in the medical device industry and most recently served as the VP of North America sales at Restoration Robotics. He previously spent 14 years at Cynosure in a number of senior sales roles.
Benoit Chardon was promoted to executive VP of global commerce. He will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding commercial operations into Latin America, Asia Pacific and North America.
“Allurion has developed a best-in-class program to help people lose weight and stay healthy around the world,” co-founder and CEO Shantanu Gaur said in a news release. “I am looking forward to working with these new additions to our team as we enter our next phase of rapid growth.”
The hirings come after the company raised $34 million in new funding through a securities financing and a growth capital term loan.
